HR Generalist

We have an opportunity (initially fixed term) for an experienced HR Generalist to support our HR team and lead on projects as we go through a period of transition and restructure within our function.As the main focus of this role is to provide capability and capacity within the HR team, it provides a unique opportunity to work in collaboration with the Head of HR for tasks and priorities to be allocated in line with the post holders knowledge and experience along with the immediate needs of the College.The team is small, and therefore the need for a flexible HR professional that can support across the full range of HR generalist activities is essential.

Contributing across a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, absence management and general administration, the post holder will form strong working relationships with Line Managers and colleagues across the college community to support with all aspects of the employee life cycle.

The post holder will be a key point of contact for HR related queries, providing professional advice and guidance, and will support Line Managers with employee relations such as grievances and investigations.The role will require significant involvement in maintaining data (spreadsheets) and HR systems (ITrent), and therefore strong IT skills are essential.

Short listed candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of working as a HR generalist, and ideally will be CIPD qualified at Level 3 or above.

Salary: up to £27,968

Hours: Full or Part Time available.  Whilst this role is available up to full time, we will also consider applications from those wishing to be considered on a part time basis only. If you are interested in the position on a part time basis, please outline this within your application.
